2010 Peugeot 207 Coupe Cabriolet GT HDi 112

It's something of a new departure for me to set up a page for my 'everyday' car, not that I drive everyday of course. However, it's also a new departure for that car to be a convertible as I've tended to have very practical cars, ready to pack with tools, materials or of course luggage. How will I manage?

Well, with the fitting out of Short Boat Aries coming to an end, I hope to have fewer projects and all of them much smaller.

My original plan was to run the Peugeot as an additional car on a very limited mileage and in the past that has been cost effective with insurers happy to cover an extra car for relatively little money. That doesn't seem to be practical, or at least cost effective, nowadays so the CC will have to be my main car.

In my humble opinion, these metal roof convertibles are more practical than soft tops in our climate, especially if you regularly park near a Leylandii hedge as I now have to. That wasn't an issue when I had an Astra convertible a few years ago.

The GT designation is just a trim level, towards the top of the scale, with some of the nice touches such as climate control and parking sensors.

Patch doesn't give a jot for those nice touches but prefers the more spacious front seats to the tiny ones in the back. Actually, I've realised that it's not fair to expect an elderly dog to manage the clamber in and out of the back seats so he now has pride of place in the front passenger seat.
